Business: Direct insurance through underwriting authorities and MGAs
The ERGO UK Commercial team is well established and experienced in providing delegated underwriting authority to selected underwriting agencies for nearly 15 years.
In 2014 the team has a headcount of 30, offering insurance services across the whole value chain from underwriting, actuarial, risk management and accounting to claims management and reinsurance.
Account Managers together with the head of underwriting manage all aspects of the relationship with our clients to achieve sustainable, profitable technical results and to safeguard compliance.

Solutions: Capabilities and Compliance
ERGO Insurance is authorised to transact all classes of Insurance (except Life) in the UK & Ireland and can provide licensing throughout the European Union via the Freedom Of Services Directive.
Ensuring the agency agreements comply with the UK’s and Germany's regulatory environment, ERGO attend to all licensing and tax issues, while signing and checking all relevant documentation.
ERGO continues to build a strong London Market and UK & Ireland market presence, especially MGAs, brokers and re-insurers and adds value to their colleagues within ERGO Group by providing insights into international direct insurance business, in particular facilitating new business, market knowledge and expertise, underwriting and actuarial modelling services as well as local regulation.
